Senior Year to the Start of Your Career: Getting Your First Job in the Georgia Public Schools

Last school year, I gave a talk to students in the Kennesaw State University Wind Ensemble about landing their first jobs as public school band directors. I went through my own school change the prior year, and during the process, I took copious notes about updating my materials, corresponding with administrators, and the interview process. My hope was that this information would be helpful to incoming first-year teachers.
